ONE SIMPLE PRAYER CAN CHANGE YOUR WHOLE LIFE

Updated: Aug 24, 2021

I have been praying for you. Believe it or not, but God has called thousands of people to pray for you. We don’t know your name but God does. It is no accident that you are reading this. God has made it possible for you to come across this post.

It’s time, my friend. God is calling you to salvation. God wants to fill that “emptiness” that you have been feeling. It is time to turn your life over to Jesus. I want to invite you to receive God’s gift of salvation today. RIGHT NOW.

Salvation is just the beginning of an amazing journey that God wants to take you on. He has so much he wants show you about who he is. He has a plan JUST FOR YOU!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

It is not too late for you. God is a forgiving god and he counted you worthy enough to send his son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. That’s how much you are loved.

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” John‬ ‭3:16‬ ‭NIV‬‬

All it takes is one simple prayer for your life to be totally changed.

If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. (Romans 10:9-10, NIV)

It’s that simple, my friend.

Jesus waits for you on the other side of your JESUS IS LORD.

It isn’t a requirement, but some people like to say a short prayer when they are ready to receive salvation. You can use your own words but if you need a little help with the words, here is an example of what you could pray:

Dear Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. In Your Name. Amen*

HALLELUJAH!!! Do you know that there is a celebration going on in heaven right now?! Jesus tells us in Luke, chapter 15, verse 11 “there will be a glorious celebration in heaven over the rescue of one lost sinner who repents, comes back home, and returns to the fold—more so than for all the righteous people who never strayed away.”

‭‭(The Passion Translation, TPT)

I am so happy for you! Get ready to experience a tiny fraction what heaven is going to be like. Seek Him and you WILL find him.

“‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’” Jeremiah‬ ‭33:3‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

“Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”

‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:12-13‬ ‭NASB1995‬‬

Be sure to share your good news with somebody!

What should you do next? I encourage you the read the Bible and find a Bible preaching church to attend.

There are numerous versions of the Bible. My favorites are:

NIV, New International Version

NLT, New Living Translation

TPT, The Passion Translation

But, before you buy yourself a Bible, check out the free app, YouVersion. YouVersion is an amazing app that you can download. It has some really good features such as different versions of the Bible, verse of the day, videos and reading plans.

Where, in the Bible, should you start? Most people would start on page 1, right? Ordinarily, the answer would be yes. But to keep you from getting bogged down, I recommend you go straight to the stories of Jesus. The Bible is broken into 2 sections: the OLD TESTAMENT (before Jesus) and the NEW TESTAMENT (when Jesus walked the earth). I would recommend you start in the New Testament; in the Book of John. Don’t rush through the reading. Take your time, meditate on it. From there, move to the Books of Mark, Matthew and Luke.

Let’s talk about finding a church to attend. But first, let me say, are all different. We have different tastes. In my family, my husband likes Rocky Road ice cream, I prefer Pecan Pralines n’ Cream and my mother, who lives with u us, likes Homemade Vanilla. All good ice cream, but as the saying goes ‘different strokes for different folks’.

Church is the same. There are different ‘flavors’ out there.

Do a search of churches in the city that you would like to find a church. One good thing that came out of COVID-19 is that there are many more churches doing live streams on Facebook. See if they are on Facebook. That will will give you an idea of their ‘flavor’ 😃. And by that, I mean, what type of music do they worship to? Does the music or the pastor’s message resonate within you?

Visit their website. Are there any COVID-19 restrictions/precautions in place?

Don’ get discouraged if a first visit doesn’t doesn’t give you the warm fuzzies right away. You may have to visit a few churches and you may have to visit a church more than once before it feels like HOME.

Or better yet, ask the Lord where he wants you to go. I pray that your spiritual ears be opened to hear that!!

You may be asking yourself ‘Why should I go to church when I can just watch from from home?’ The Bible tells us in Hebrews 10:25 “This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing. In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning.” (The Passion Translation).

Being a part of a church gives you the opportunity to be among other believers. You will have the opportunity to make new friends and have a support system. You will be blessed AND you will be a blessing to someone else.

There is a chair/pew in a church somewhere with your name on it. There is a need somewhere that only you can fill. There is a church somewhere that needs your hands and feet. You belong somewhere. You have a church family out there, somewhere, praying for you.

GO TO CHURCH! 🤗

Blessings, my friend. I am so excited for you! You are loved.
